Victoria, BC - Darrell Julius Jantzen born September 14th, 1939, passed away on March 23, 2026. He was a dedicated public servant whose career spanned many years and touch countless lives. Darrell served as a police officer in both Edmonton and Oak Bay, where his commitment to community safety and justice was unwavering. After his time in law enforcement, he continued his public service as a field investigator with the Public Guardian and Trustee, advocating for those who needed a voice. Husband to Deb and proud father to five daughters: Jodi (Marty), Bobbi-Jo (Guy), Mia (Paul), Corrie (Paul), Melinda (Mike). Darrell also had 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Darrell had an infectious laugh and a great sense of humour. His passions include taking care of his cars, maintaining an immaculate lawn, watching football, jogging and cycling and listening to country music. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Darrell is preceded by his parents, Hans and Zita, his sister, Darlene and his brother, Wesley. Upon Darrell's request there will be no service. He will be laid to rest at the Royal Oak Burial Park. May he rest in peace.
